Had to share this stunning video where Henry Catchpole shares his thoughts on his first experience with the new 992 Carrera S. He just could not believe how much the 911 has evolved in its latest generation, and just how connected the car feels at any speed.

The new 992 has to be the best sounding turbocharged car on the market. Its incredible how well Porsche has managed to retain a note that's similar to the flat 6. I do wonder how well these new models will age, given all the modern technology they now use.

The design here is more timeless than 991's, at the same time include a lot of advanced technology. Its hands down one of the best generations i can see playing out as more 992 models release.
Can't wait to find out more on the GTS, Turbo S and of course those GT3 and GT2 models.

At what point will people start calling the 911 a supercar? With the specs we are seeing around the new Carrera S, its well within hypercar territory from a decade ago.

The bar for what's called a "supercar" has been brought down over the years. McLaren is one of a few automakers to thank for that. McLaren 540c's are relatively cheap. Huracan's are sort of cheap as well compared to everything else you can buy. 911's aren't far off from pricing and configurations.

Imo there has never been an automaker that releases such track- ready road legal cars like Porsche. Even if you don't opt for the top end GT/RS models, you're still getting a car that can compete in much higher segments than its own.
