992 GTS Vs 997.2 Turbo (on a roll)

I was on the road last night and suddenly a car pulls beside me . It was the 997.2 Turbo . It was modded too (wheels , dropped, exhaust , aero) . My 992 GTS as you know is stock . My 997 is a 997.1 and heavily modded 96 speed manual) . For those who dont know the 997.2 was the first gen PDK . It was was the first DFI Turbo and not an ideal platform to modify so must power bumps were modest . Even bone stock his car has 530 Hp and mine has 473.

I thought for sure when he stomped on it that he was going to pull me but to my surprise I pulled out 3 car lengths ahead and we did it again . On the second roll I gave him the jump and still pulled him .

Observations ... The 992 is a beast . The biggest thing I noticed was that his shift points and efficiency of shirts was so far surpassed in the 12 years and newest PDK . I truly believe he should have won . He had more Hp . My PDK beat his PDK . We had the road to ourselves so neither of us had any obstacles . He was very heavy but thats no reason to create the distance I had .

Last point .. Back in 2008 a discussion arose about the Turbo and Porsches Hp . It was 480 (stock) for the 997.1 and 530 for the .2 and the question was posed how hight would it go before running out ? Thats when we all realized something . Porsche had to go the route of efficiency . It really shows .

Interesting. I did not think you do that anymore😝. I see it happening a lot on Biscayne Blvd in busy traffic (idiots). Mostly mustangs and chargers with coke cans for exhausts. Sometime i see them try to make eye contact and pull me in. I never fall for it, my car is too slow.

Biscayne Boulevard is a ridiculous road to do something like this on at any hour. Keep in mind that a little roll race is similar to the type of thing Nick Murray does . It’s merely a test rather than a contest which should be done on a track . I think he was just curious as we drove along side by side having the road to ourselves.
