LK- Black Beauty looks GREAT! Just loan it to Bobby and he’ll bring the mileage up to a few thousand miles in a week or two! 🤪
I’m close to 3K km and revving the engine like crazy! Just rubbing it in a little. 🤪
LK- Black Beauty looks GREAT! Just loan it to Bobby and he’ll bring the mileage up to a few thousand miles in a week or two! 🤪It will be three weeks on Friday since I picked up the car. Most of the three weeks I spent at the lake, so no car. Of the kms on the car my wife probably put about 50%. So I cannot write up anything worth sharing. It is definitely stiffer than my c2cab, it sounds amazing…..did I mention it sounds amazing. Very happy with the colour combo (until the first wash i guess).
Two cons: Tires are loud as loud as the p zeros, do not like either. The keyless entry sensors (both doors) work maybe every 10th attempt (annoying), the frunk sensor works perfect. The car will have to go in for this but not until Oct since I will be away most of Sept.
I am content knowing the car just sits there. 😝LK- Black Beauty looks GREAT! Just loan it to Bobby and he’ll bring the mileage up to a few thousand miles in a week or two! 🤪

I believe Charlie is closer to Ottawa. But I heard he can only drive manual😜Beautiful car! Congrats.
I’m here for you. Anytime you need the battery topped up I can take it for a spin. No need for a trickle charger. Think of all the money you’ll save on your electric bill. 😀
Oh man, I would drive your car any day and for the whole month of September if you want! And I wouldn't go over 4K RPM. Scout's honour!I believe Charlie is closer to Ottawa. But I heard he can only drive manual😜

Since this is my first 911 I can't compare but my apprehension of the "stiffer" suspension made me delete the 10 mm lowered Sport suspension (SPASM which is standard on your GTS)). I am very happy with the "regular" PASM that now comes standard on the 992. I didn't think that the difference in suspension travel was worth the potential decrease in ride comfort. For me the debate was mostly cosmetic vs a slight handling improvement. Again, I can't compare but I definitely don't regret my decision and am very happy driving on our horrible Montreal roads. It will be three weeks on Friday since I picked up the car. I’m the same, top down almost always 82 degrees or cooler. Today is 90 and it’s not fun even with ventilated seats. I like the lowered suspension more comfortable than my 981 Boxster with same set up but no way to compare them both.Since this is my first 911 I can't compare but my apprehension of the "stiffer" suspension made me delete the 10 mm lowered Sport suspension (SPASM which is standard on your GTS)). As for the tires, I drive with the top down 90% of the time and don't find them that noisy. But remember that I don't know better. Is it the combination of the lowered suspension with the Goodyear tires that makes a difference? Or is it BECAUSE I drive with the top down that I don't hear the tire noise as much inside the cabin?
Bobby, do you find the 992 tires noisy compared to our old Boxsters? I don't even remember what tires I had on my 981! Shows how much I know about tires. I think we all have the Goodyear F1 on our 992s.I’m the same, top down almost always 82 degrees or cooler. Today is 90 and it’s not fun even with ventilated seats. That's what I thought. Now, I'm going to see what tires I have on the Macan. LOL!With the top down you will definitely hear less road noise coming from the tires and more from other things. Different with top up and cold tires. Definitely noticeable in my cab and now in the gts. My Macan has the Michelin pilot plus (something, something) and they are the best tires ever in my opinion.
Is it fair to compare the tires on those 2 cars? We are so much closer to the road in the 911! Just saying...The only reason I notice is because of my macan. They are grippy yet quiet. With the cab when tires are warmed up they are grippy and still noisy. With the gts (on the few trips) i found them noisy. Again, only saying this because of the macan experience with Michelins
Good point. Never thought about the distance from my head to the pavement. Is it fair to compare the tires on those 2 cars? We are so much closer to the road in the 911! Just saying...
Just checked and I seem to have Continental ContiSportContact on the Macan. Is that what they put on the cars of those who don't know any better? LOL! I like them. I must have changed a couple of times because of flats! Don't remember what tires I had initially.Good point. Never thought about the distance from my head to the pavement.
Yours is the Macan S? I believe the base and the s came with the contis. Turbo and gts came with high performance michelins back then, 2018.Just checked and I seem to have Continental ContiSportContact on the Macan. Yup! Macan S MY17. So they didn't give me the Canadian Tire brand. Good! LOL! Now I know I have "Contis"!Yours is the Macan S? I believe the base and the s came with the contis. Turbo and gts came with high performance michelins back then, 2018.
Cant compare a 911 to a Macan . The GY tires suck . When I got a flat both tire rack and my dealership told me that they don't have the size yet for the GTS . They probably have it by now . I loved my Michelin 4S on my last car and wondered why I waited even to wear out the first set of tires to get them .Next nail I get I am asking again . I hate the GY . They are even worse than Pirelli .With the top down you will definitely hear less road noise coming from the tires and more from other things. Different with top up and cold tires.
