Burmester is hands down on of the best systems I've heard (tried it on a Panamera). Prior to that Bose was my closest reference but it blows that out the water.
$5,560 well spent if you ask me!
Looks like it might be tough to keep the 992 under $130k if you start to play around with all the additional goodies. Doesn't look like you can spec it with a manual yet, and I have a feeling the standard PDK accounts for a lot of the cost difference over the 991.2

The 718 is a great alternative. Porsche proved with its predecessor that winning over people who want a "cheaper 911" is possible.
Still till this day I won't mind a GT4 Cayman, values continue to go up for a reason and will even more since the 718 isn't going over well with enthusiasts.

In a way, Porsche has a monopoly on sports cars because there's no where else you can get an experience like the 911.

The only issues i've seen are people who prefer certain phased out components and thus stick to an older year model.
I'd be curious to see what the sales numbers are for 911's that are still equipped with a manual gearbox. I'm guessing that the number has been steadily declining over the past few years. The price hike is well justified with the revisions that Porsche has made to the powertrain.
Its funny how Porsche comes out with the GT4 718 just in time for the 992's arrival which can create some hard choices.

Would you guys ever get a high spec 718 over a lower spec 992?
As everyone realizes that manuals only get you so far, they will die out and rapidly.

Pretty cool and awesome.
