I got a quote on a dash cam cord from Suncoast. The part was reasonable at $33, but the sipping via ups was $59 and in my experience ups will add another $50+ brokerage processing fee. Suncoast wouldn’t change to another shipper to try lower the cost. They obviously don’t want my business.

Other than the dealership, where do you get your parts?

Hm. Suncoast comes to mind first. I bought several things from them and they are good people. I always had stuff shipped to my US address however. Have you tried Amazon.ca and search for the cord via there and maybe Suncoast will pop up. And maybe without the additional costs…

Suncoast have great selection and their prices are reasonable, but the shipping makes it impractical. I tried lumping a few other items into my order to see if it would help but they then quoted me over $300US shipping. The gentleman on the phone would not consider using USPS which is where I usually find the best rates to Canada.

You’re lucky to have a US address where you can collect your parts. I used to use a mail forwarding service in the US but I let my subscription expire because Amazon brought a lot of items to the Canadian market, and USPS rates became affordable. It might be time to renew it.

Good suggestion regarding Amazon. Thx
