Long story, but here goes.....I had originally purchased a 991.2 T and LOVED it. From the build code, to watching it travel across the Atlantic, to finally taking possession, it was my favorite vehicle that I had ever known.

Shortly after taking ownership, I was at work (used to practice hospital-based pharmacy) helping save the life of a 2 year patient with a viral infection. Two weeks later, I developed the infection and a month later, I developed full blown narcolepsy. I had made the mistake of driving home after a 14 hour shift and fell asleep. Thankfully, no one was hurt; however the car was destroyed.

Fast forward almost 4 years, I am in a new career, finally back on my feet and ready to purchase another vehicle. I was going to go for a 718 GTS and had just been offered an allocation. I asked the dealer if I could switch my deposit for a 911 and was shot down. He said there was such a list that he wouldn't take my deposit and to look elsewhere.

I hate to be a beggar, but as this feels like fate, if anyone knows of a dealership that would be able/willing to provide me with an allocation for a late spring/early summer deliver; I would be forever indebted.

You will get at or near MSRP for the 718 GTS if you buy it when you finally get an allocation . What state are you in. ? What your last T your first Porsche or are you a repeat buyer ?
Just an FYI .. I was given the first slot for my 992 GTS during the height of the inflationary market at MSRP. Some dealerships were charging 35K ADM. IT matters where you are .Why didn't you have a deposit before the car was even announced ? That matters too.

Just noticed it's a no-cost option to have the interior trim pieces painted in the exterior color. Looks good in GT silver, not sure about other colors.

Egads!

Now this looks acceptable to me:

maybe. . . . .

I aftermarket painted my 997 in silver . Along with race pedals an aluminum shifter it made a nice touch in that car. In the new car I love the carbon fiber.
It’s quite subtle and gives great contrast.

Can't get CF trim in 2023 T but you can buy and add DIY I'm sure. I'd go to this company first given all the accolades I've read/seen over on Rennlist about them.
992 Carrera, S, 4, 4S, GTS (since 2019)
I would not do DB or Macarbon (two aftermarket companies) . I can't believe its available on a base 992 but not a T . I would get the OEM at Sincoast. They also have the inlays . (the GTS package has matte in my car and on. my Macan I am getting the gloss) . I like the matte better for a 911.

I have this selected in my order with GT silver. Find it adds a nice touch without while removing the piano black (which I hate in my current Macan).

Agree the other colours are an eyesore

Wow! That is a beautiful car. I’ve seen pictures of the lizard green on a GT silver spyder and it goes beautifully. The guy did it similar as you it added a really nice touch. That’s a very nice car!
I agree, I never would have thought of the lizards green but it looks great! I like the red tach accent and I should have added that and possibly the side skirts to my build…great job!
