It looks like I will be in a seat of a 4GTS at the end of June. One month behind but I do not mind. It actually works better.

I have Ceramic Brakes too and there isn't any differences because of that.
You only have to change the tyres (remove the wheels) very carefully to don't break the disks.

You have a Carrera S. I have the GTS. That’s where tire rack doesn’t even have a listing for the Tire yet. According to them as well as my service writer before I spoke to them the only two tires that are available for my car so far are the Goodyear and Pirelli. Keep in mind that my car arrived in April and was one of the first in the USA.

I could be wrong. But I quickly glanced at the local tire retailer and the 315s Michelins were offered.

I had asked two weeks ago . Maybe things updated . I replaced the tire . It will have to wait a bit
Now I am not sure. Originally mt service advisor said they dont have a 4S tire for my car yet. I called Tire Rack to confirm and they also said the same . Yet now I look at the wheel size and it appears to me the same . There is one exception that Tire rack makes . My car has Ceramic Brakes . It may in fact have the larger wheel doe to that . I will have to look.

Did you see the foot notes . My car had both PASM and Ceramic Brakes .
Yes I saw them but the notes are only for the base carrera with smaller tyres.
Drove back to the city to pickup the BB. Drove it home ( two miles) turned around and went back to the lake. Will not play with it for another week. Will need at least an hour to figure out all the display settings. Initial observation, sound amazing, suspension very stiff (nice stiff).

Wow! A Black Beauty it is. CONGRATS (officially)! Too bad you won’t be driving it to the lake. But I understood that the gravel roads could be hazardous. 🙁

And don’t listen to Larry😉 , the display settings and PCM are not hard to figure out. But I did spend at least one hour with the « Product and Delivery specialist » when I picked up my car. They have guys just for that now. Didn’t have to contact him since. Setting up the home link was easy for the first time compared to previous P cars.

Maybe you’ll come back sooner from the lake?! 😉
Thanks Charlie.
The lake is more important to me than the cars. The car is there (in its spot) and I am content. At least it is not at the bottom of the Atlantic.
I am trying to figure out picture setting session for it. Of course to complete with @yrralis1 🤪

Drove maybe 2 miles on bad residential streets so far.
Sound was good. I actually really like the coupe. The attention to detail is amazing in this car. Thank you all for helping me with the build!! Promise to take more pics in better setting.
Couple of surprises: trickle charger that I found in the frunk!! Btw the frunk is the same size as the 2wd 991.2.
The third brake light is clear not red to match the clear rear brake lights.

For me, driving the cab with the roof up is like driving a coupe. But is it? Since you drive both, let me know after you’ve driven a few km (since it’s Canadian). Looks, sound and of course driving « differences ». Are you going to miss hearing the engine with the top down? Do you have the sunroof?

As for the pics, even if it’s a friendly competition with Larry, you wouldn’t have a professional photographer in your family or as a friend by any chance? LOL! 🤪 He set the bar very high with his pics.

Bobby - Did you use the 7th gear? I had problems shifting in it the first time but my wife told me to go « nice and slow » 😉…and it worked! Anyways, I’m over the speed limit in 2nd! 🤪 That’s why I wonder if the base model wouldn’t be better for MT. Is Porsche listening?

Have you seventh gear on the turnpike first or second time it took a little getting used to for sure! Much easier now that I have the hang of it.

The cab with the roof up has a pretty bad blind spot. The coupe does not. The 2km I drove yesterday was with windows closed and ac on. The engine and exhaust was very noticeable (music to my ears noticeable). Also, the coupe gets more light inside due to the large back window. Also very noticeable. I do have the sunroof and that helps with the light for sure.

There is nothing better than driving the cab with the roof down in the evening. I just love it.

All good points! Thanks! Ironically, I think you would probably use the cab more often in Ottawa than in the scorching heat of FL and not just in the evening. LOL!

I drive with the top down almost all the time…except of course when it rains…and TODAY where the temperature will go up to 40C (over 100F) with the humidex factor! Montreal feels like Miami today!!! Thank God it won’t last…
