I have the 991.2 c2cab. It does everything I ask it for on city streets. You have to ask yourself….what you want it do for you…
Yes, it is a very base but it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it.
There are only 2 things I wish were better on the cab:
1. with roof up the blind spots are bad.
2. With roof down in hot climate…..you will only use it Dec-Feb. Other months evenings only😜

btw I love the hump on the 991.2 cab…….😝

50 is a perfect time to get your 911. Not too young (prevents from getting speeding fines) and not too old ( prevents you from getting hurt getting in and out of it)😜

Another way to look at it is. If you can gather 120k for a base then you can surly scrape another 7k for the S.

It’s $17,000 more to go from the base 911 to an S. Porsche change the pricing. Are used to be 14.

A 992 S Cab can price in GTS coupe territory.

Exactly. Initially I was looking at a second cab, 992 4s cab. But once I realized the price was GTS category, it made me re-think it. No need for two cabs and GTS is a lot of car.

Since I only have ONE 911😉, I think the cab offers the best of both worlds. With the top up it’s remarkably quiet, has the shape and drives like a coupe. Of course, when that first sunny, somewhat warm day comes along, down comes the top, and I remember why I bought a cab in the first place. Plus, I'm having a hard time resisting this:

The extended range fuel tank is a no-brainer. I have it in my car and it’s absolutely wonderful. I get about 500 miles on a tank full. It’s been kicked around about the excess weight of the fuel in the car . One does not have to fill it all the way if he is that concerned.

This is the only part that confused me about your build Larry. How much attention you paid to weight and then went with extended tank. Why have it if you do not fill it full….If you fill full why be so concerned with weight of other components….

Extended range is even a choice on a Gt3 . A glass sunroof is not . There is a reason for that . The added weight is exactly in the right place, low in the car and in the front, improving f/r weight distribution, as well as aiding in steering turn in, with reduced understeer, especially under weight transfer from braking. And the added range is significant

I just being devil’s advocate. I would love to have the larger tank. But then again the gts is not my dd.
