Hello fellow Porsche lovers. It would seem that the days of the 911 are numbered, and I have to say that the 992 is looking like a significant step forward for Porsche. Since the 911 has been around for 6 years now, this update was long overdue.
The revisions are looking fairly minor, but it is looking like Porsche is updating a bunch of the factory components from the 991. All of their new tubocharged engines we're just introduced three years ago.
You can always hope on the 718 Cayman saying a bit true to Porsche's roots. Personally i'm still in the market for an older GT4 RS Cayman, you just can't beat the lighter curb weight they offer. IMO, its also one of the greatest Porsche's of all time, so you can enjoy something that will hold its value well over time.
Have you seen what GT4's are going for used? At least you know that you're buying into something that really holds its value. $130k for a vehicle with 20,000km...
Like many other supercars these days, they are boulevard queens and garage queens and rarely pushed at local tracks. Few people daily them even though they're very practical.
