If you were to spec a Turbo S

On Macan Forum one of the members spec'd a beautiful Turbo S . As I went through the configurator along with him I learned its a very different type of car to build . I had spent most of my time on the GTS followed by the Gt3 . I also dabbled with the T , S , and Base cars almost as much as the two main ones I was pondering for myself .

There are a lot of options on the Turbo S that are not on the other cars . For instance the sport design package has a different fascia and the wing has a horn like look . It also has side skirts with widen the appearance . One can paint the plastic bits either in exterior color or gloss black . Even the air slats can be gloss black . He loves the gloss black stuff .

The gloss stuff wasn't for me and even the exterior color I felt was over the top. The sport design got a lot of forum love in Rennlist but I would not want it on mine . One thing I noticed is that one can make the model designation gloss black but not satin . The same goes for the Porsche logo on the rear . I don't like gloss so I would leave it as is . I also would want the lightweight package but if one chooses the 18 way seats it has to be leather . I can't believe I can't choose race tex !!!! Ideally the buckets are the choice but I am pricing in my age and that it would be a daily .

By the way .. I am not ordering one but I built one as if I was . I considered a more luxury build car but what draws me in. is the sub 10 sec 1/4 mi time (vs 10.3) which is to me the main strength of the Turbo S . Its not that it would embarrass itself on a track but at that price its a Gt3. As a daily it put me exactly where I am which is why I bought a GTS . I thought about all of this before I put my deposit .

So I decided to build one just to see . Its my first because once I ruled out the car I had no dabbled in it.
This is what I got . Its 40K less than what the guy on MF has but I feel it would suit me .

So how about you ? Build one for fun .

Canadian build. Price is shocking - includes the federal luxury tax. But not the luxury tax my province adds in, which IIRC would add 20%.

Net result would be somewhere north of $400K. Equivalent to $300K USD. Makes looking for a used one very attractive.

I'd be curious if the configurator offers different options to Canada than the US.

They are the same as USA (except price ). You also selected all of the fluff options (like paired exterior ) .

This is the part of the painted exterior that was a dealbreaker at 5 min 58 sec . I am not a fan of the black plastic but painting it is so much of the exterior color . Also those side skirts better have PPF . The standard plastic hides pebble chips but paint or gloss black will stand out .

I figured by now, you would have Spect a cab.

Ha! I would have but I’m scared of the loud sucking sound from my bank account!
Got a call yesterday for an allocation. Will trade in a 2019 Turbo (not S). Have to decide by tomorrow. I am thinking about this... PPKCF420

I like it. The only thing I would leave are the yellow calipers . They look amazing on any color except red (McDonalds logo) .

That would be an interesting bit of contrast. I chose black to be a bit more understated. I will pop those onto the configurator and take a look.

If you recall, you helped me with a 4 GTS slot back when I bought my Turbo. I got a Turbo allocation just after your dealer helped me with a 4 GTS slot and I went with the Turbo. In any event, I appreciate the help back then and your comments and postings since then (I am usually over in the Macan forum (2017 Turbo with PP).

Both work - There are no bad choices :)

Car and Driver spec'd a car like yours .

Exclusive Design are rare to find - Different wheel .. look at the yellow pop
Pics -- All colors. all wheels , all calipers .
Some I like , others not . JBM looks real nice no matter how thew wheels and brakes are matched up .

My car just came back from the detailer this morning . He drove it here and told me that people saw my car and loved it . He particularly pointed at the combination of the black, yellow , carbon fiber , and silver as the talking point of love and camera photos last night .

@Treefrog -- See this thread - I polled Rennlist with the yellow vs black last year . This was their response .
