Is there a way to put PDK into neutral without starting the engine in a 2022 992 Turbo S

Hi all.

I found an older thread regarding this question, but apparently without a solution to it. At least I did not find any. Is that so?
But why would I want to do this in the first place? I keep my 911 (993, 991.1 and 992, both latter cars PDK) in hibernation over winter. From time to time I would like - or need to - move them a bit. No problem with the manual 993 obviously, neither with the 991.1 (ignition on, foot on the brake, selector in position N ) but nothing works with the 992. Porsche dealer said it's not possible! What does the community say?

cheers, Marc

I’m still waiting on delivery of my car (and therefore owner’s manual) so I can’t answer your question. However, wheel dolly’s might be a good alternative for your dilemma. I use them on ATV’s in the garage and as long as your floor is smooth they roll very nicely and allow you to manoeuvre in any direction.

I asked the same my dealer. He had no answer

Thank you for your reply. I do think however that as these cars are more or less computers on wheels there must be an easier way to get the neutral lock (solenoid?) disengaged. I am a bit suspicious regarding the answers I got from the dealer. They either do not know themselves or they simply don't care.
The owner's manual, BTW, does definitely call for a tow truck with a crane that can lift up the car by its wheels should you need one; towing onto a flatbed is not possible if you not able to start the engine and shift into neutral!
What I have found out reading the fine manual, however, is that you can maneuver the 992 for about half an hour after having shut down the engine in neutral. After that time it will automatically switch into park. As I said: a computer on wheels.
Cheers, Marc
