Just ordered a set of Pilot Sport 4S for my Carrera S. Anyone out there with personal experience or opinions on this tire. My car never gets tracked, driven fast, never tracked. Seemed a better option for me than the Cup 2's or PZeros.

I have the regular P4S on my BMW and they're excellent. Now that they're offered in a bespoke Porsche formulation, they'll be my choice when tire replacement comes.

I had them on my last GTS and kept asking myself why did I wait so long. You’re fantastic tires. When the current GTS first came out they did not have the proper size at that time. The next time I get a nail or a flat of any type that is going to be my first question.

Compared to the good year they have better grip, less road noise, and I still haven’t reached a point where mine are worn out but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s better wear .

Both of my 911s will be wearing pilots once the good years and pirellis are finished.
btw I find the good years overall better than pirellis, perhaps because they are brand new.

It’s tough to split hairs between these two given that the Michelin is that much better than both. It’s the one thing I miss most on my old car that is not on my new car.

I am not trying to compare the two. Neither would be my choice.
One thing I actually do like about the good years is the protective rim lip. Actually, let me rephrase is, unknowingly, my wive loves the protective lip😜. Especially, the one at the right rear corner.

Forget the PZeros. They are loud. I’m changing mine to Michelin PS. I’ve had them on my M4 and they are quite.

As most know I got 4 new 4S tires . They are less noisy than the GY . They feel more confident in harder turns . All tires can get a flat but the trad in some Michelin seems to beat tires . My service guys debate me on this claiming a "nail can not discriminate a tire " but I once again I pulled in with flat (nail near sidewall) of my GY and I said enough . Give me those 4S !!! I really love them and had them on my last GTS too. On that car they replaced Pirelli (better than GY but not even close to 4S) .

you were right, took my GTS out for a window rip between snow storms and realized how noisy the GY’s are!
