Sounds great. Will you be selling the oem wheels? Did you source the mesh grills locally?

Picture and wheel company ?
I just put the $s on my GTS and love it . They blow away the GY . I made it 7K miles before I had enough . I hated them .
Thanks I’m pretty excited!
yes, I plan on selling my OEM wheels and tire set up. Good Years with 5200 miles.
mesh inserts are from “RGS” Radiator Grille Store. Like everything, There’s a You tube video for install.

Idaho is nice because I can drive for miles on mountain roads and rarely see another car, however….there are a ton of grasshoppers! I often pack a small wash bucket and stop a few times to wash the front of my car.

BC Forged HCA 382’s. (See below) Much more affordable than BBS or HRE’s, solid reviews and the guys from the distributor out of Florida were knowledgeable and terrific to work with as I had many questions about mm width’s wrapped in the 4S’s and fitment with GTS being 10 mm lower. Track days will be rare, Canyon carving through the mountains is my thing.
I have a mental quirk with OEM stance and hopefully haven’t tipped 60 years of German refinement upside down! 😳 ha!
I trust I haven’t, I have custom wheels on my truck, my 4 wheeler, had Techart wheels with spacers on my 991.1 and my wife’s new 23 Cayenne. Have always been happy with the results.

I must admit I was initially displeased when I learned my 992 came with Good Years ….but on my 1300 mile drive home from LA (took the long way home to see some friends at their second home in Scottsdale AZ since it was 72 degrees!) but I don’t recall thinking they were loud, they certainly seemed solid and composed, I would even say durable but then I was likely overwhelmed with the zeal of actually driving my new 992, may have assumed it was due to the lightning package and lovely roar coming from the rear! Criticism wasn’t on my radar! Whoo hoo!
I have ran Continental’s on my 991.1, feel they were a great tire after a few heat cycles but agree that Michelins are the sweet spot!

here is a pic of the wheels, mind you not exactly the same wheel as they didn’t have a pic showing the grey centers with the titanium hardware….. the spokes on the HCA 382’s have a bit more detail but you’ll get the gist. I’ll update with an actual pic once they’re on.

Thanks and might I add you guys are pretty entertaining as well as helpful as I read these threads!

I’ll give BC Forged a (y) as well. Had a set on my last car and was very happy. Nice design and didn’t break the bank like HRE.

Looking forward to some pics. Even more excited to hear that exhaust!
That’s good hear!
After the cost of these cars every time I went out to the garage to drool my eyes gravitated to the wheels….I tried to explain it to my wife and got “the look” ! 🤨…… so I suggested a set for hers and got a whole new look!! And then some! Ha! It’s a good life!
the exhaust and cats may be awhile, just want hear those turbos spool after I install the M tune sitting on my garage bench.
I believe it was CH61 or Larry that assured me the sports exhaust will still sound pretty good!
BTW……what’s the 411 on your car? Gotta say,…..it giving me anxiEtsy,…. can’t imagine how you must feel!
Damn auto correct. Anxiety
That’s good hear!

It's 50/50 whether she'll notice. Worth the risk! If she notices beg forgiveness and blame one of us. 😀

Edit: 59/59 isn't a thing. Changed to 50/50. I need to accept I'm at the age of needing glasses.

It's not me, I take care of the "entertaining" on this Forum!! LOL! Larry and others share their expert advice on mods and performance issues. I'm impressed with your car and what you plan to do. Also that view from your garage window! :D Fantastic!
Hey guys!
I have a few items to share,
Pretty excited, new wheels are on their way, new Michelins sitting in the garage waiting to wrap them up! see pics below
21 x 9 +45 offset for front should provide 11mm poke out from OEM 255/30/21
21 x 12 +58 offset for rear should provide 9 mm poke out from OEM 325/30/21
a little wider stance and offset. I see a bull dog in my near future! ha ha!

wow,....yrralis1 was right, those GY's are loud.....I have had a chance between snow storms (Idaho) to get out at least on the freeway and let her breath a bit and then noticed what yrralis1 was saying.....looking forward to the Michelins!
the car is a beast......way more car than my 991.1 4S

While out I downloaded and flashed the M-Engineering tune for only the 91 octane, no problems, runs smooth and noticeably stronger! these cars have much more room for tuneability but I just wanted a snappier throttle and bit over the next 992....not alot of 992's around in Idaho.....the difference on my GTS is somewhat muted as the 992 Carrera S gets equaled to what the Carrera GTS is upgraded to on these tunes (see M-engineering website's dyno graphs) however....that said, these cars have plenty of power for what we really need.
takes a few miles for the ECU to re-learn, asked for the "PSE exhaust valveTrue on", auto start/stop delete, raised rev limiter and Stationary free Revving in Neutral as custom features in the download. considering the burble and pop elimination which can be added anytime at no charge and down loaded to my car in 60 seconds.
a perceptible deeper tone in the exhaust note as well.

installed and highly recommended is the RGS radiator Grille inserts, if not for anything but the "finished look" they provide,.....as I had mentioned earlier, the amount of grasshoppers, leaves and other debris these inserts are saving the direct blow to the radiators is worth it! took me 40 minutes for the first side and 20 for the second. easy. looks great, also, there is an optional 3rd center brace,.....do it, it's a bit more hassle but a solid add. see pics below.

last but not least I received comfirmation that the personlized plates I wanted are available in Idaho......not my original idea but I liked it......1NCBITN since this is my second Porsche......

I hated the GY tires . I have stuck with the standard OEM satin GTS wheel but if I ever went for a Turbo S I love the P101 wheels . The set is 11.200 bucks . Double what I paid in 07 for s set of competition wheels which I still have on my 997 . HRE makes amazing wheels . The ones you chose are very nice and are not outrageous priced . I dont even go in this direction anymore because its a slippery slope of expense .

Yes, much less expensive and the sting 🐝 of each rock chip doesn’t hurt as bad at 6K. A little individualism and a better stance is worth it to me…..being in Idaho, I also don’t get the ”raised eye brow” look for the less expensive choice that some may receive in certain areas….

I should have a pic when mine are mounted and on the car in about a week with my own CL torque wrench I also had to purchase……kinda fun learning (thanks YouTube) all the new attributes and nuances of this very expensive game but bottom line ….. it will get driven! 🏎

With all the cars you have had/have I could see growing out of that slippery slope!
Super nice spec pictured here!

I asked a friend what his favourite aftermarket wheels for the 992 would be. We both went away and independently picked one. When we compared these are the wheels we both chose :)

What a stunning car!
