The turbo S is a supercar. Porsche handed that car to the GT team in Weissach to address some of the issues that have been plaguing than 991.2 version. They made this the best performing turbo S just as they did with all the other 992 cars. Right down the line. Each one is improved.

It’s not a track weapon although ring times surely imply that it is a monster. It is a luxury power car as well it’s the type of car that could be driven daily on the street, take him to a dragstrip, and do quite well, and even go to a track and will never embarrass itself anywhere.

Nick is fixated on loving the Carrera S. I think that’s why he bashes the GTS turbo S and Gt3 so much. He hates race tex , wants less power, and has trouble deciding whether he wants a manual or a PDK.

The main drawback that I had with the car is the all wheel drive. It’s added weight above the front axle I tend to like rear wheel drive, 911 because they feel more agile. That does not in any way mean that a turbo S is not an amazing vehicle.

I’m convinced Nick likes a blend a performance and luxury in the Carrera S with something like truffle leather and the 930 package is something that would suit him. It’s a comfortable daily driving fantastic car as well that’s my point. There are no wrong choices, but there are different choices for different people.

Enjoy this video but please don't shoot the messenger.

This should be an interesting thread. Let the hating begin! 😜

Well said as always .Larry. You helped me understand the importance of building a 911 carefully to find the car best suited to you.

I personally like the Turbo’s looks. The spoiler is tastefully done and is the only aero kit in the 911 lineup that I find aesthetically pleasing.

Best bang for your buck? I’d say no, but many friends are telling me the same thing about any 911. A (fill in the blank) is as fast in a straight line, or looks better, or rides better, costs less, etc etc.

It’s a beautiful, extremely quick « hypercar » but I don’t think it’s a street car. I would never use its full potential. I can’t even use the full potential of my « humble » 992 S!

With the base car being so good, does it make sense to spend 100-150k more for the turbo s? Well, like Larry said, it’s highly personal but I guess no one cross shops a base Carrera and a Turbo S. Especially when you wish for a MT.

Aesthetically, I find the TTS beats them all!

Just about all these cars are beautiful. Each has its own character you start out, saying that you would never be able to unleash it. Horsepower with time leads to a desensitization. At first one is jolted in the seat with this face smearing rush. That’s the first few times, and then he questions going faster.

To add a little perspective, even though this is just the base turbo I feel that Janko Lind did a much more impressive review. Unlike Nick, he shows the fun in owning a car like this. In fact, he even takes it out in the snow.

Welcome! Beautiful car! My friend Pete just picked up one that he ordered and waited for. I posted his touring review and he has not done a review on his turbo S cab yet. I’ve talked with him at length about the car. He only posted a teaser short on YouTube but you can see what it looks like. I have individual pictures. I think this pretty much shows it.

Exterior color is British racing green and the interior is the heritage package.

New whip. 992 Paint to sample Turbo S cab. Stay tuned for break in… #porsche #nosubstitute

I had a 2021 992 4S and lucky for me I was able to upgrade to a new Turbo S. When I drove the 4S everyone wanted to race that car but now that I have a Turbo S there is not that many people up for the challenge. The aggressive look and the 0-60 times for the Turbo S makes the difference. Most likely saves me from getting tickets not racing everyone

Unless you are facing off a select modified cars a race is usually very brief . By the time you hit 40 you already have a car length . They realize they lost so why bother . AWD from a dig with PDK is brutal . Maybe they dont challenge. you because they already know .
