Does look good!Looks good the blend mount products are expensive.
Not familiar with that brand sorry.Perhaps someone can educate me here. Don't remember the source but I recall hearing that LiDAR (LEO radar) is so effective that by the time any radar detector goes off you have already been had. True?
Confirms my understanding that there isn't a detector that's effective with LiDAR-you could be thoroughly impregnated before your detector goes off. Can't see the value of a detector if it can't provide some degree of advance notice against all forms of radar.Basically your are "toast" if your are detected by LIDAR (Laser). It will be too late when your radar detector goes off. Some suppliers will try to market laser jammers as a solution. IMO, this is not a viable option for some, since it is a misdemeanor in certain states. See links for more info.

Are Laser Jammers Illegal or Legal in the US? Police Laser Jammer Laws
Are you considering purchasing laser jammers and want to know what the laws are in the USA? Are laser jammers legal where you drive? Let's take a look.www.vortexradar.com
And then there is GATSO RT4 and MRCD coming at you now. MRCD (and MRCT) has been creeping into the U.S. for a while now. I'm glad the Uniden R8 I have is able to detect both. It may not save me if I'm pushing hard on the skinny pedal, but it let's me know it's in the area and I can slow accordingly.LiDAR and Laser are essentially the same thing. Very accurate at short range and use a focused beam of infrared light. The beam is triggered at a specific vehicle and typically is not continuous therefore no advance warning - conventional radar typically is “on” all the time so there is advance warning.
Thats the one I have!Shocker no one said Valentine Gen 2, its been saving me tickets for years as its in everything I own. Always plenty of time to slow down at high speeds.
I have the valentine and it saved me a few times. Only bought it because it was advertised in a Porsche magazine. I'm sure they are all good though.Hey Folks...so looking to purchase a Radar for our new 992.
I have had radars before but the "need for speed" ended a while back.
However with the 992, I know, inevitably I will be pushing it.
And here in SoCal the CHP is quick and unforgiving.
I have been looking into below models thus far:
1. Valentine V1 Gen2
2. Uniden R8
3. Escort Redline 360c
Appreciate all your recommendations and advice.
Thank You!
