Oh man…hope not!Possibly, or maybe something you need to take blue pills to fix?
Same here . I mentioned it on Macan Forum and it ruffled some feathers turning it into a debate . My guy also won't do them anyway .Larry, didn’t do headlights either but the installer doesn’t use it there anyway so I didn’t need to make that decision.
It might be an old school practice so maybe its not applicable anymore. I’ve never seen PPF applied to headlights.Same here . I mentioned it on Macan Forum and it ruffled some feathers turning it into a debate . My guy also won't do them anyway .
Seems to be 50/50 split on all the forums on whether to PPF the headlights. Porsche does not recommend it. I didn't find it but apparently there is an explicit notice in the owner's manual to not apply stone guard to the headlights . On the 718 Forum I read "If you apply PPF on headlights it will void your warranty on your headlights or anything related to your lights". I can understand why some installers refuse to go against Porsche recommendations (likely for liability).Same here . If I crack the headlight its an insurance claim . If I damage the headlight by putting PPF its on me . I had both lights replaced on my 991.2 GTS free of charge . They became worn from the sun and Porsche did "goodwill" the repair after 5 years . I traded the car in with new lights and new dash (old one melted) . So, If you crack your headlights it’ll cost you $2k each to have them replaced. If you have a warranty claim on your headlights denied as a result of having PPF fitted it’ll cost you $2k. You’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
LOL...yup but I bet those 50 feet must have felt amazing! I just received an update pic. Tint is done but still pending paint correction, ppf and ceramic. GP seems to busy, about 3 911's ahead of mine. The wait continues!Congrats on the beautiful new arrival! I can relate to the suspense as I drove my Macan GTS about 50 feet from the lot to the flatbed bound for PPF, ceramic, etc. and then waited over a week to finally drive it. Enjoy the amazing experience!
This is close to what I am getting at GP. Also getting the rear bumper and extending the rockers all the way through to the back. What do most people get covered on their cars for PPF? My 718 has front bumper, hood, fenders, rockers, door handles, mirrors and rear bumper/behind the wheel well and back and that seemed like a lot. Is that fairly standard for 992 as well or do people go full PPF? Less?
Damn! I had no idea about it voiding your warranty. I wonder why?Seems to be 50/50 split on all the forums on whether to PPF the headlights. Porsche does not recommend it. Looking good Sway!Quick update fellas…Tints done. Now we wait for the paint correction then PPF and finally ceramic. The wait continues…

I had a white Pontiac Formula Firebird back in the mid eighties. Loved it and felt like a king! Might still have my parachute pants too!Got a love, a white car! It’s simple, understated, and elegant.
There’s certain cars that have a really great quality white paint. One of them is Rolls-Royce and Bentley. If you see one in white up close, it is strikingly beautiful. Porsche is next in line to that level. On vehicles like a cayenne or Macan it’s somewhat lost in a sea of white SUVs . On a 718 or 911 though it is pure sport. It looks spectacular with either silver wheels or satin black. It goes well with the red steel brakes as well as the yellow ceramics. It even goes with both GTS packages. Whether it’s chalk, stitching or Carmine white it’s a home run. There’s so many things I like about the color that it was my top contender against GT silver.I had a white Pontiac Formula Firebird back in the mid eighties. Loved it and felt like a king! I just felt that White and Black seamlessly flow and look sexy AF! The new "classic" look imo. I agree with you in the standard of paint, quality, and finish. This is the Carrera Metallic White with the Leather Interior in Black and it sticks out really well compared to the other white colors I have seen. This is very "pure" I would say. Also allows us be "low key" for the CHP here as I feel they always pull over the brighter colors! There’s certain cars that have a really great quality white paint. Hahaa..oohhhh I know. Next up for us, after its current project at GP, is radar and front/rear cameras. Never ending! It’s a disease! My side skirts are “out for delivery” right now!
I think that's the way to go.This is close to what I am getting at GP. Also getting the rear bumper and extending the rockers all the way through to the back.

@BobbyG I noticed from previous posts that you didn't have the side skirts with the SD bumpers - thought it looked good. What made you want to add them? It’s a disease! My side skirts are “out for delivery” right now!
