Tow Bar

With 550 miles on my 992-911 Turbo S. My right rear tire went instantly flat on I75 in Florida. No warning it was going flat. I called a flat bed to take the car and me Tire Wheel Car Vehicle Hood
home. While I was waiting I attempted to install the front Tow Bar, unsuccessful for about 5 minutes. Turning it to the right it would not catch the threads WTF. Then something in my head said try turning the bar to the left. Well, that worked. Never would guessed the tow was a left hand thread. Keep that in the back of your mind if you ever need to install your tow bars.

You are a much braver man that I. I would not have attempted to go with that central lock wheel. I did call a flatbed but managed to get to my house before it went kaput.

My tow company had little jacks to be able to make sure the front lip didn’t scratch. He made a mention that some tow companies don’t use them and it’s much harder that way. He did a perfect job. I did not use Porsche roadside. I called my dealership and got a specific referral from someone that I know and trust. It cost a little more but I felt more comfortable .
saw the thread title, came in to see what a "toe bar" was. I'm up to speed.

I'm not sure if all 911's have the rubber balloon spoiler. With mine up and using the front lift system, there were no issues getting it on the flat bed. This guy knew what he was doing. I also have that $5000 tool that can remove and install the center lock with ease. I'll pull the wheel off and put it in my SUV to replace the tire.

Glad you caught that. Sometime using voice instead of typing make things confusing. Tow not Toe. ha

Could you please share a link for that tool?

It's a YouTube video and he has a link to his web site. I'm so glad I spent the money, well worth it. Here is the link

That $5K HYTORC Center Lock Torque Gun looks well made and exactly the correct tool for removing / replacing the center lock wheel fastener.

Thanks for the link!

I had to use it recently. It worked exactly like the video. No issues.
