I just looked at a bunch of used 992 cars . Some are nice others are hideous !!! I know that beauty is in the eye off the beholder but if I ran a dealership and someone ordered this :

1) He would have to leave a huge non refundable deposit
2) I would never want to take this car back in trade

The exterior BTW is guards red with ceramic brakes (Ronald McDonald) . As if that wasn't bad enough of a combination this is the interior . Dials are also yellow.

I think that’s why he traded it in with only 2000 miles. It wasn’t so much that it was a target, but his car must’ve been the brunt of a few laughs, and then it dawned on him. This is not the only time I’ve seen a car fail. Some people are given this huge list of colors and choices, and they put together a mess.

Replacing the seat belts with black ones and painting the brakes black could save the car. But I forgot about the yellow dials. 🙄 Being color blind could be a bliss sometimes. But it’s still a Targa (inside joke). 😉

I see what you mean Pontiff….lets take a second collection this Sunday and buy you a dealership so you can guide these customers and avoid these hideous choices! 💵 💵💵

Remember the James Bond movie "Never Say Never" !!!

My wife's previous 3 Lexus were silver, this time around she said never another silver - she purchased a gorgeous "Glacier Blue".

A few years ago she had a string of Ford Explorers (we have a very good friend who owns a Ford dealership) she purchased a sharp metallic green Eddie Bauer. After 2 years she traded it for a pearl white "Limited" Explorer.

My friend gave us a great deal on both the trade and the purchase of the new vehicle. Even though the metallic green was hot when originally sold my friend finally had to sell the car at auction - he couldn't sell it on the lot - there was no interest !!!

The moral of the story is customers tastes are fickle and ever changing.

The February edition of Porsche Panorama has an article highlighting a Cayman in Lind Green with red interior - not for everyone but it looks gorgeous to me.

At this point in time I have no interest in silver, black, red or white Porsches - doesn't mean they are bad - just not for me.

Like they say there is an A%% for every chair.

I like those colors simply for everything you didn’t mention. A common color places the exterior under the radar in calling attention, and the real attention is only focused on the car itself. I once knew a guy on another forum who bought a turquoise blue 997 cab. That is all I remember of him because that is the only thing he talked about for the years that I posted on 6speedonline . In contrast, the people who bought the typical colors talked about everything driving from daily use to track days.

I took a risk with my current Macan. I didn’t take a high risk, but I bought chalk. I like the color, but I won’t do this again.

Looks like the color combo for one of those plastic kid-size 911s.
