911 Color Choices?

Couldn’t figure out how to post in another section of the forum, so posted here -

While I’m a ways away from getting a 992, I can’t decide if I’d get San Merino Blue over chalk with wood trim, or GT Silver over red with exterior color inlays. Blue is my favorite color and it’s different, but GT Silver is classic. What do you guys think?
I had a GT Silver which looked great and had a professionally applied 3M ceramic coating added for $1,200 which made it look better. But when it came time for a new 2024 911 the salesman talked me in to Guards Red. He said it was the "classic" Porsche color and would add to re-sale value. When it arrived in 8 months my wife HATED it. She kept calling it "orange". (and it looked somewhat orange in sunlight.). We traded it and ordered a 2025 in Laguna Blue which I think we'll both be happy with.

Not a fan of flashy colors such as red, orange, yellow, etc. Love a nice dark color or neutral such as silver. Glad you guys found something that worked for both of you!

We had a Guards Red 2018 911 GTS Cab...it was the best, color did help with resale in 2023, and orange never came to mind. Also had a great silver 2007 Carrera S. But to each her own. I gather your wife did not have the opportunity to see Guards Red "in the flesh" before ordering it. Maybe the 2024 paint differed from the 2018, though I doubt it. Or there was a political reason ;)😂. In any case, good luck and here come more clichés-----"all's well that ends well" and happy wife-happy life (ain't that the truth).

I loved my Gt silver GTS . I never got tired of it and am so glad I chose it . It's my vote over a trendy blue . I have a gentian blue Macan and even though the color is beautiful there is just no comparison to the classic Gt silver on. a 911 .
Agreed. To me, these blues and greens and so on just scream "look at me."
